All around me were majestic snow-capped peaks, ominously hiding behind curtains of clouds.
A soft blanket of wet dew-covered grass gently carpeted rolling hills that stretched across a wide valley.
I gazed out of a misty window in awe, taking in the immense yet in a similar way, tranquil scenery, dazed in wonder.
I was surrounded by the soft sound of rain pattering on the roof of an old, musty cabin that sheltered me from the cold weather outside.
Snuggled intimately in my hands was a warm teacup which I drank from gingerly in small sips.
Looking outside, I felt small and unimportant compared to the towering mountains looming around me.
During the past few months, I, along with my family, have been l traveling around the world, and the longer I did so the bigger the world has felt.
At that moment, I felt all those feelings, small and minute but with a craving for adventure that burned inside of me like a lit candle that refused to die.
It was an inspiring moment for me and I learned just how privileged I was to do what I am doing now.
This was written in Switzerland, and if you want to know more about what we did there then stick around.
